Q: Trading Rules

What are your trading style rules? Excessive Scalping: Holding 50% or more of your trades for less than a minute. All in: Betting in one direction and holding until you pass or fail. This is defined as making one trade with no risk management (not having a stop-loss in place or risking more than the drawdown limit e.g. 2% for three step, 3% for one step, 4% for two step), which would either pass or fail the challenge. This rule also applies for the funded stage. Gamifying the Challenge: This is when you are trading two accounts against each other with going long on one account and short on the other, with the guarantee of passing the challenge. Examples: Excessive Scalping: The Trader is trying to execute trades rapidly, the trader takes a total of 50 trades, 26 of which have been executed in under a 60s hold time. This means a total of more than 50% of trades have been executed in under a 60s hold time and contributes to excessive scalping. All in: A trader opens a one lot position on EUR/USD, they do not put in a SL and the trade runs all the way to passing the challenge in one go. This trade had two outcomes, either passing the challenge or failing the challenge, this does not show trading ability and the trader will not be processed to the funded stage. The trader enters a EURUSD on their two step challenge, they put the SL at 6% of the balance, if this hits SL this will fail the challenge. The trader would not advance to the funded stag

Q: Can I trade during the news?

Can I trade during the news? Yes, but there are specific restrictions during high-impact economic news events. The Trading Restriction Window Traders cannot open or close trades 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after a red folder news event release. This means:

No opening new trades during the 2-minute window before or after the news release

No closing existing trades during the restricted time window, including trades opened prior to the news event

The restriction is outcome-based, not order-type-based. A trade closing in profit during the restricted window is a violation regardless of order type — this includes take-profit, break-even, pending orders, or a stop-loss that closes in profit. A stop-loss that closes at a loss during the restricted window is not a violation.

All profits generated from trades closed during the restricted window will not count during funded stage

Example: If a red folder news event is scheduled for 14:30 UTC, the restricted trading window extends from 14:28 to 14:32 UTC. You cannot open or close any trades during this time, but you may close trades at 14:27 or 14:33. Before the Restricted Window: You can set pending orders (buy limit, sell limit, etc.) before the news event. However, if a pending order is triggered (executed) during the 2-minute restricted window — for example, because a news spike causes price to reach your order level — this is still considered a violation on Standard accounts. Q: What are the drawdown types?

What are the drawdown types? Static The drawdown doesn't change. Equity Based The drawdown resets based on equity or balance (whichever is highest) at 00:00 UTC. A trading day runs from 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC. **Example: **You have a $1000 account, you open a trade and leave it running overnight. Your equity at 00:00 UTC is $1100, but your balance is $1000. Your max daily drawdown will be 4% of $1100 ($44), your account will breach the daily drawdown if you go beneath $1,056 on that day. Balance Based The drawdown resets based on the Balance at the daily rollover. **Example: **You have a $1000 account, you open a trade and leave it running overnight. Your equity is $1,100, but your balance is $1,000. Your max daily drawdown will be 4% of $1,000 ($40). Trailing The drawdown moves automatically with the highest equity point in your account. Importantly, the highest equity is based on your live equity (including any open floating positions), not your closed balance. If you start with $1,000 in equity and your trailing max drawdown is 3%, your starting trailing max drawdown is $30. If you gain $100 in equity your new highest equity point is $1,100 and your new trailing max drawdown is 3% of $1,100 which is $33. So if your account goes below $1,067 that would be a breach. Example (One-Step $5,000 account, 5% trailing drawdown): You have a running trade and your equity reaches $5,250. Even if you then close that trade at $5,200, your high

For example, on a $10,000 account, if your equity drops below $9,900 at any moment, your account will be breached. This rule applies to total open floating PnL, not per trade.
