Why is the Close button unavailable when attempting to close a position in MT5?

In MT5, the Close button can become temporarily unavailable for the following reasons:

• Market freeze: The market is in a brief halt, often during high volatility periods (common on XAUUSD).
• Spread spike: The spread has temporarily widened to a level that prevents order execution.
• Terminal disconnection: The MT5 terminal has briefly lost connection to the server.

To resolve this, try refreshing the chart, closing the position from the Positions tab, or restarting the MT5 application. Once the connection stabilizes and market conditions normalize, the Close button will become available again.
