What documents are required to complete KYC verification for a Maven trading account?
Maven uses Veriff for KYC verification. You will need to submit one of the following valid, original government-issued ID documents:
- National ID Card
- Driver's License
- Passport
- Residence Permit
- NIN Slip (Nigerian) — if the NIN slip is not accepted by Veriff, you can alternatively email support@maventrading.com with your 11-digit NIN number (in text format) and a selfie taken on the same day
A live selfie is also taken as part of the process. Only original, factory-issued physical IDs are accepted — photocopies, photos of an ID, or digital copies will be rejected. Institutional or college IDs are not accepted as government-issued identification.
Name requirements: Your account must have a first name and last name registered. If your government ID has a third name that was not included at registration, this will not cause issues during KYC verification — only first and last name are required to match.
Device flexibility: KYC verification can be completed on any device, not necessarily the one used during registration.
KYC fraud: The KYC process requires that the account holder personally complete all verification steps, including the live selfie. If it is determined that another person processed the KYC on your behalf, the verification will be declined for KYC fraud. This results in a permanent ban from purchasing any future Maven accounts, and the decision is final.
When is KYC processed?
- Instant Funding / Buy Now Pay Later accounts: KYC is processed at the time of payout request.
- Standard / OMO accounts: KYC is processed after successfully passing the challenge phase.
Important: You cannot change your personal information once you have placed a trade in your challenge account or during the KYC process. To check which documents are accepted for your country, visit: https://www.veriff.com/supported-countries
Minimum age requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to open and use a Maven Trading account. Using someone else's ID or being underage will result in automatic KYC rejection.
One email per trader: All your Maven accounts must be registered under a single email address. If you have previously completed KYC with one email, always use that same email for future accounts. Managing multiple emails may result in a breach for Violation of Terms of Service.
