Platform Transfer for Untraded Accounts
Platform Transfer for Untraded Accounts
Overview
Maven Trading allows traders to transfer or change their trading platform for accounts that have not yet been traded. This applies to newly purchased accounts that have not opened any positions.
Can I Transfer an Untraded Account Between Platforms?
Yes, you can transfer an untraded account from MT5 to Match-Trader or vice versa, provided:
- The account has no trades (untraded)
- The account is at its full starting balance (no open positions)
Can I Transfer a Traded Account?
No, once an account has been traded (even if it's currently profitable), it can no longer be transferred to a different platform. The platform change restriction applies regardless of your account performance or profit status.
How to Request a Platform Transfer
To request a platform transfer for your untraded account:
- Contact Maven Trading support with your account details
- Provide your account ID and current platform
- Specify the target platform (MT5 or Match-Trader)
- Confirm that your account has not been traded
Important: Platform transfers cannot be reverted once completed, so ensure you've made your final decision before proceeding.
Account Merging vs. Platform Transfer
If you have multiple untraded accounts and want to combine them:
- Untraded accounts can be merged after purchase
- If an account has been traded, it can still be merged, but only after a payout has been made
Note that merging is different from platform transfer. For account merging inquiries, contact support with your account IDs and target combined balance.
