OMO Two-Step Challenge — Rules & Requirements

Evaluation Phases

The OMO Two-Step Challenge requires passing two evaluation phases before receiving a funded (simulated) account.

Max Drawdown: 8% (Static)

  • Based on your starting balance
  • Does not trail upward as your balance grows
  • Applies during all stages, including the funded stage

Daily Drawdown: 4%

  • Resets at 00:00 UTC
  • Calculated from the higher of your balance or equity at the start of each day
  • If you hold an open trade at 00:00 UTC, unrealized (floating) P&L is included in the reference value

Example ($5,000 OMO account):

  • At 00:00 UTC: balance = $5,000, equity = $5,100 → limit based on $5,100
  • 4% of $5,100 = $204 → equity must not drop below $4,896 that day

Example ($2,000 OMO account with open trade at reset):

  • At 00:00 UTC: equity = $2,070.57 (trade open, unrealized profit included)
  • 4% of $2,070.57 = $82.82 → equity must not drop below $1,987.75

⚠️ A breach can occur even if your closed P&L alone wouldn't have triggered it, because floating profits at the reset raise the daily reference point.

Minimum Profitable Days

  • At least 4 profitable days per phase
  • Each profitable day must generate ≥ 0.5% profit
  • Example: on a $10,000 account, a day must show at least $50 profit to count

Trade Duration Rule

  • Each trade must be open for at least 150 seconds (2.5 minutes)
  • Shorter trades do not count toward profit targets

News Trading Rules

  • Phase 1 & Phase 2: Fully allowed, no restrictions
  • Funded Stage: Allowed, but profit from a single news event is capped at 0.50%
    • Example: on a $100,000 account → max $500 profit per news event

M2 Account Saver

A built-in risk protection rule that activates automatically when losses get too high.

  • Activates when drawdown reaches 2% of account balance while trades are open

First Breach:

  • All open trades are closed immediately
  • Profit split is permanently reduced to 50%

Second Breach:

  • All open trades are closed
  • Account is permanently deactivated (no recovery)

Time Limit

The OMO Two-Step Challenge has a maximum duration of 180 days across both evaluation phases combined. There is no separate deadline per phase — you can distribute your trading time as needed within the 180-day window.

Funded Stage

The same drawdown limits and trading rules that apply during the evaluation phases continue to apply in the funded stage. There is no consistency score requirement on the funded account.
