# Is copy trading between accounts allowed, and can traders use trade copier software or expert advisors?

Copy trading using trade copier software, bots, EAs (Expert Advisors), or any automated copying tool is **not allowed** on Maven. All such tools are prohibited across all platforms and account types.

You **may** manually copy your own trades across your own accounts — for example, placing the same trade on two different accounts at the same time by hand. This also applies to accounts held at other prop firms, as long as all trades are placed manually by you. Manually setting limit orders that trigger simultaneously across multiple accounts is also permitted and does not constitute copy trading or automation. However, using any third-party trade copier software to replicate trades — even if the original trade was placed manually — is prohibited. Placing opposite positions (e.g., buying on one account and selling on the other for the same asset) across accounts is considered **hedging between accounts**, which is also prohibited.
