# How many positions can be opened simultaneously on the same trading pair?

There is no limit to the number of positions you can have open simultaneously on the same trading pair. For example, you can hold multiple long positions on XAUUSD at the same time, each with its own stop loss and take profit, and this is permitted across all account types including the Standard 2-Step.

Note that layering positions on the same pair and direction within close intervals without a stop loss, or where the combined exposure exceeds the drawdown limit, would be considered an "All in" violation under the trading rules.
