# How can I calculate the maximum position lot size using my account balance and available leverage?

Maven has no fixed lot size rule. You may use as much lot size as your margin allows, as long as you don't risk more than your drawdown limits (to avoid an "ALL IN" rule violation).

To calculate the maximum allowed lot size for a given instrument, use the following formula:

**(Account Size × Leverage) ÷ (Instrument Price × Contract Size)**

For reference, platform leverage by asset class is:
* **Forex:** up to 75:1
* **Commodities:** up to 20:1
* **Indices:** up to 20:1
* **Precious Metals:** 20:1
* **Crypto:** 2:1

For example, on a $2,000 account, the maximum lot size for BTC is 0.04. The actual limit will vary depending on the instrument's current price and contract size.
