# Buy Now, Pay Later — Trading Rules & Precautions

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) is a one-step Forex evaluation. Pay $5 upfront to start; if you pass, you pay the remaining fee to activate your funded account. If you fail, you owe nothing more.

**Key point:** The challenge phase has a **static** maximum drawdown (not trailing). There is no daily loss limit during evaluation.

## Funded Phase Rules

Once you pass and pay the remaining fee, the following rules apply:

**Drawdown type change:** The maximum drawdown switches from static (evaluation) to **trailing** in the funded stage.

## Trade Duration Rule

Trades must be held open for **at least 1 minute**. Trades closed in under 1 minute are acceptable as long as **more than 50% of your total trades** meet the 1-minute minimum. For example, if you take 50 trades, having 5 closed under 1 minute (e.g. at 40 or 50 seconds) is fine, provided the majority were held at least 1 minute.

## Inactivity Rule

Accounts are closed after **30 days of inactivity**. To keep your account active, place at least a 0.01 lot trade every 15 days.

## Consistency Score (Funded Stage)

A consistency score of **20% or lower** is required before requesting a withdrawal.

**How it is calculated:**

> **Best Winning Day ÷ Total Profit × 100%**

**Example:**
* Day 1: $60 (best winning day)
* Day 2: $60
* Day 3: $60
* Day 4: $60
* Day 5: $60
* Total profit: $300

→ 60 ÷ 300 × 100% = **20%** ✅ — qualifies for payout

The more evenly distributed your daily profits, the easier it is to meet the 20% threshold.

## Profit Rebuild After Withdrawal

After a withdrawal, the original funded balance remains the reference floor. Withdrawals reduce your profit cushion, and you must rebuild profits above the original funded balance before requesting another payout.

**Example (on a $100,000 account):**
1. Account grows to $105,000
2. You withdraw $4,000 → balance is now $101,000
3. Maven still treats $100,000 as the floor
4. You now only have $1,000 of cushion and must grow profits further before the next withdrawal

## Payment Rules

* You pay **$5 upfront** to start the challenge.
* If you **fail**, you owe **no remaining fee**.
* If you **pass**, you pay the remaining fee **before** the funded account is activated. It is **not** deducted from your first payout.
* You can only withdraw profits made during the **funded phase**, not from the evaluation phase.
